Live Room One
The main studio recording area, Live
Room One is 15 feet wide by 14 feet deep with 9-1/2
foot ceilings. the room features four custom bass
traps and additional acoustic treatments by Real Traps
and Auralex. Access to the recording system is through
a 20-input audio snake, custom built using Belden
AES/EBU digital grade cable.
Live Room Two
Known as The Warehouse, this unique
recording space is slightly L-shaped, 26 feet long by
13 feet wide at one end, and 19 feet wide at the
other. With it's 16 foot high ceilings, the room
produces huge drum tones. The Warehouse features
tapestries on the floor, a heavy duty theater curtain
across the back wall, and additional acoustic
treatments by Auralex. Access to the recording system
is through another 20-input audio snake, also custom
built using Belden AES/EBU digital grade cable.
Studio A
Studio A is the main tracking and mixing room at
Suspect Studios. The room is 20' wide X 24' long with
a 12' pitched ceiling, and features
custom wall and ceiling acoustic treatments and a pair
of Real Traps 48" high Mondo bass traps. The studio
furniture includes three custom built pieces from
Omnirax; a nine foot long workstation that houses the
Amek "Big" console, the Pro Tools and Alesis recording
systems, patch bays, a headphone amp and some
outboard, and two four-bay "producer's desks", each
with 84 rack spaces for gear. Total storage capacity
on the three pieces is 212 rack spaces (almost all of
it full). Studio A features ADAM A7, DynAudio BM6A,
and Genelec 1037B active monitoring.
Studio B
Studio B is designed primarily as a Pro Tools mix room
and video editing suite. The room dimensions are 11'
wide X 17-1/2' long with 8' ceilings. Acoustic
treatments are by MSR Acoustics and RPG. The room
includes a complete Pro Tools HD3 Accel system with
tons of plugins, a 42" Samsung display, Focal SM8
active monitoring, Yamaha NS-10s powered by a Hafler
P3000 power amplifier, and a Grace Model M902
audiophile headphone amp.
